Hiya Darlings!
Lilly and Vannah here again.. This time with a very fun announcement for you guys! If you are following us on youtube and twitter and checked out the little video we made you will know that we are going to MTV's European Music Awards! So, seeing at the end of the day when we filmed the announcement we were really tired and didn't go into much details we decided to write a blog post about what We believe to be the craziest day of our lives (so far).
Okay, so it all started saturday night when we saw that a friend of ours won EMA tickets during an audition.. We didnt even consider if we were or werent going to go to the auditions ourselves the next day, we just did. Vannah brought in a third friend and together we wrote the following poem:
Have you ever wanted something so bad in life that you would do anything for it?
Cause this is our party we can do what we want.
Have you ever wanted something so bad that you would fight for it?
Cause we will come in like a wrecking ball.
We have been dreaming about going to a MTV award show since we were little..
Not leaving us go.. Come on.. You make us feel like we have been locked out of heaven!
Music really inspires us..
Like in our wildest dreams? We would dance all night to the best song ever! Kind of like oh, oh, oh. Yea, yeah, yea.
So before we say..
Baby, bye bye bye!
We would like to leave you know..
We got the eye of the tiger, we are fighters, dancing through the fire, we are champion’s, and you will hear us roar..
After spending the rest of our saturday night discussing what we would wear, it was nearly impossible to sleep. The next morning started very early for us seeing the doors would open at 10:00 am and we really didn't want to be to late. When we reached it was a little over ten and the line was already pretty long.
We stood in the line for six hours. We repeat: six hours. These six hours include: judging other peoples outfits and realising how we didn't look "weird" and "crazy" enough, singing Miley cyrus and One Direction songs, screaming into camera's like crazy monkey's, meeting new people, re-applying lipstick, freaking out over a cardboard cut out of Harry Styles, cutting through the line to go to the bathroom only to go back to our actual places like the good and honest human beings that we are and dancing like there was no tomorrow. It truly was a party for six whole hours!!
And then it was our turn.. We sucked. Big time. Forgot half of our poem, with only ten seconds to go Vannah just started dancing, I (lilly) was just staring at our other friend in complete disbelief.. Until the judges announced that we won tickets! One for each of us!
It didn't really hit us, we got our information noted, a letter from MTV, we walked out of the building screaming.. Called our families.. And then we went quiet. Shock. Did we just win us tickets to the EMA's?! Are we actually going to the EMA's?! Well.. To let it all sink in we headed off to get some Starbucks and discuss what actually just happened to us.
It's now about two days later.. The EMA's are 4 days and a couple of hours away and we are still pinching ourselves.
We were the girls who would secretly stay up all night to watch such award shows..
We were the girls that would watch the reruns a thousand times..
We were the girls who would sing along to every song..
And to make it even more special, its a MTV award show that brought Lilly and Vannah together..
This all together makes this experience truly unbelievable and we couldn't be more happy and proud to say that one of our dreams are coming true..
We are going to the EMA's guys..
